Pradhuman Singh founded the Chandealo Vikas Sansthan with an aim to uplift the local community and create opportunity for them and also for gender equality. Chandelao Vikas Sansthan works with Chandelao Garh which is a heritage home of the former land lord of Chandelao and has been restored as a place for tourists to stay and experience rural life of western rajasthan.

The aim is to workfor the peopleand the planet. This is being done by way of different causes/projects like rain water harvesting, solar power, sanitation, computer education and rural arts and craft revival.

Kristin Andresen comes from a top business family from Norway and she visited Chandelao and wanted to do something about the village in general and for the women in particular and hence the idea of sunderrang was born.

She has been funding it right from establishing sunderrang to where it is now. Besides sunderrang art and craft project, she is also involved with other projects in chandelao like girls education, sanitation (building toilets) in school and computer education.
