Handcrafted Natural soaps made at Sunder Rang, Chandelao. All our soaps are organic and natural made by our staff of village women by hand.

The women working in Sunder Rang are trained in 'Kantha' embroidery. Kantha is locally known as gudri in rural Rajasthan. It is a series of running stitches in vibrant colors and interesting patterns. Gudri was originally used to make bedding upcycling the old/discarded clothes. At Sunder Rang we use Kantha/Gudri on our bags and pouches, making them fun and contemporary designs.

We always aim to eliminate waste in our production, and from our collaboration with a local designer based in Jodhpur, we upcycle scrap cloth and turn it into accessories like pouches and handbags. Upcycling is an important element ofour sustainable collection. We upcycle post-consumer fabric use waste, as well as fabric production waste. We patch the leftover fabric and convert them into kaftans, bags, charms and pouches. This helps us handle our discard and at the same time reduce our need for new resources.

Block Printing is an ancient textile tchnique that originated centuries ago in Rajasthan, India. Yasin Block Print is a company located near Chandelao, in the village of Pipar. It has been a family run business for generations, employing highly skilled block printers using mud-resist printing. The process of making the print is very complex, involving many stages of printing, drying and dyeing. Yasin Block Print supplies Sunder Rang with block printed fabrics printed with wooden hand blocks and dyed using natural vegetable dyes, such as turmeric, indigo, pemegranate. A block printed fabric reflects the skill and craftsmanship of the printer making this art a unique and sophisticated craft with a personalised touch. Block printers are traditionally men, Yasin has trained women in the craft too.

In a further push and nudge to women’s education, a sponsorship/scholarship is provided by the Chandelao Vikas Sansthan for any eligible female candidate from Chandelao who wishes to pursue their higher education. Various courses that have been undertaken under this sponsorship program include the nursing training course, Bachelor of Education, Bachelor of Arts, etc.
